APRIL 2024: Leading New Zealand green tech firm, CarbonClick, has been selected to join a Government mission to strengthen trade relationships with South East Asia.
The carbon offset provider, which was established in 2017 to make a positive impact on climate change at every available point, is part of the delegation visiting the region with Prime Minister Rt Hon Christopher Luxon this April. Representing CarbonClick will be its co-founder and CEO, Dave Rouse, who will be joining 26 other business leaders united in their mission to build and strengthen trade opportunities between New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
With senior business representatives in sectors including manufacturing, infrastructure and investment; CarbonClick will be representing the green technology sector, with an aim to share insights on the sustainable tech opportunities for the region, and form relationships that can introduce the technology to new businesses and support reducing global carbon emissions.
Visiting Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines in a 6-day mission, the agenda will consist of panel discussions, insight sharing presentations and networking meetings as business leaders look to connect with significant Southeast Asian stakeholders to demonstrate the capability of New Zealand technology and support the nation’s trade growth. It signals a commitment from the New Zealand Government and the business delegates to deepen New Zealand’s international engagement, and the potential business opportunities in these key markets.
CarbonClick already has significant partnerships in Southeast Asia, namely with world renowned transport hub Changi Airport and the Far East Hospitality Group, and most recently partnering with the Singapore Airshow in February, showcasing the hospitality sector’s commitment to climate change and setting a precedent for sustainable practices in this region.
On being selected to join the mission, CarbonClick co-founder and CEO Dave Rouse says:
